Jeff graduated from Jackson High School in 1987. He attended Lansing Community College and Michigan State University. He was an active Cub Scout Leader for many years. He was a talented woodworker making extraordinary works of art. Jeff was a Detroit Tiger fan and coached his son's baseball and t-ball teams. He loved spending time with his family especially at their lake home. He lived to please others and was a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed and excelled in his career as a database administrator for the Michigan State Police in Lansing. A memorial service to celebrate Jeffrey's life was held at the Sandstone Congregational Church in Jackson on March 7, 2016.
