Glenda Windsor Arnold, age 73, of Destin, FL, passed away February 15, 2016 at her home. She was born February 14, 1943 in Dothan, AL. She moved to Destin in 1989 from Auburn, AL.
Glenda retired after 35 years with Merrill Lynch having spent the last 23 years with Merrill Lynch in Ft. Walton Beach. She attended Princeton University and Merrill Lynch University for advanced studies. She was instrumental in opening the Merrill Lynch office in Dothan, AL in 1980. She retired from Merrill Lynch in 2014 and is of the Methodist Faith. She loved the white sandy beaches and emerald waters of Destin, sailing and the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. R. R. Windsor.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, James K. Arnold, Sr; her son, James K. (Vanessa) Arnold Jr. of Clyde, NC; her pride & treasure in life, her granddaughter, Savannah Arnold of Cullowhee NC; a brother, Bob (Janet) Windsor of DeFuniak Springs, FL and a sister, Barbara Mixon of Destin, FL.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 4325 Commons Drive West, Destin, FL 32541. A reception will follow after the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Glenda to Emer-ald Coast Hospice, 200 Grande Boulevard, Suite 205A, Miramar Beach, FL 32550.
National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
