VETERAN RAILROAD CONDUCTOR DIES

Benjamin F. Creech, 72, veteran conductor for the Union Pacific railroad, died at his home, 165 North First West street, Thursday morning. He had been ill for the last year.
Born at Nashville, Tenn., December 14, 1861 [son of James Creech and Ann Searls of VA], Mr. Creech had lived in Salt Lake 23 years. For many years he was employed as a conductor on the U.P. route between Salt Lake and Caliente, Nev. He was a member of Mount Moriah lodge No. 2, F&AM, and a member of the Shrine and Scottish Rite bodies in Galveston, Texas. He also was a member of the Order of Railway Conductors, division No. 395.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Kathleen (sic) Creech; a son, Ernest A. Creech of Springfield, Ohio, and two daughters, Mrs. E. B. Donnelly of Hollywood, Cal., and Mrs. D. E. Deignan of Portland, Ore.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Masonic temple, the time to be announced later.
