LEMUEL ARTHUR SWEAT
ALMA, Ga., Aug. 16 – Lemuel Arthur Sweat, 68, died at his residence here yesterday after a short illness.
He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel (Methodist) near Alma.
Funeral services were to be conducted this afternoon at 3 by the Rev. B. C. Davis at Elizabeth Chapel. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Lee Sweat, one daughter, Mrs. Eunice Smart, Jacksonville, Fla., four sons, Woodrow Sweat, J. P. Sweat and Cecil Sweat all of Alma and Virgil Sweat, Waycross; five sisters, Mrs. E. L. Hendricks, Macon; Mrs. R. A. Phillips, Atlanta, Mrs. Beulah Nelson, Woodbine, Mrs. G. L. Crosby, Waycross, Mrs. Easie Gust, Woodbine, two brothers, Gus L. Sweat, Alma, Hoke S. Sweat, Waycross, and 11 grandchildren.
