Corey and his parents moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1980. He loved the Florida climate and enjoyed outdoor activities. Corey's early childhood experiences at Fun to Learn Daycare Center helped to build the foundation of his character. Corey has always displayed love and peace among his family and friends.
Corey came from a family whose heritage is built on strong Christian beliefs. In 1989, Corey joined First Baptist Church Piney Grove under the leadership of Reverend Alfred L. Pugh. At the church, he became active in the Cub Scouts with Ms. Catherine Holley. Corey was also a member of the youth choir under the direction of Mrs. Royetta Tunnage and Mrs. Emma K. Black. Corey loved the church.
Corey attended Nova Blanche Foreman Elementary, Nova Middle, and South Plantation High. He played little league football with Southwest Saints and continued to play for South Plantation High School. Upon graduating from South Plantation in 1996, he began his college education at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. Corey earned his AA degree in Business at Broward College. He would have earned his BS in March 2016. Corey was successfully employed with FL Department of Motor Vehicles and Tag Agency located inside of the Lauderhill Mall for a number of years.
Corey was a lovable, kind-hearted young man. He enjoyed arousing laughter with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving parents, Richard and Rosa Hall; six uncles, Edmund G. (Doris) Hall of Tallahassee, FL; James Hall of Tallahassee, FL; King P. Hall of Augusta, GA, Cleveland (JoAnn) Roland; Isaac (Joel) Roland Sr.; and Isaiah (Thomasene) Roland, all of Fort Lauderdale, FL; seven aunts, Maggie R. Curry of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Joyce R. Ivey of Augusta, GA; Johnnie Mae R. Chance of Linden, NC; Annette H. (Lawerence) Harris, Flora Hall, Gwendolyn H. Cooper, and Teretha (Maurice) Hill, all of Tallahassee, FL; a god brother, Shawn C. Thomas of New York; a special friend, Frank Brown and family of Fort Lauderdale, and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends.
