After her first husband died, Fannie remained a widow for fourteen years. On 27 September 1928, she married J. Franklin "Frank" Alexander in Van Zandt County. He was 69 and Fannie was 73. Frank was a Methodist minister.


Fannie and Frank lived at one time in Tyler, on East Erwin, just east of the Beckham-Erwin intersection.
