Loving father and attentive grandfather, age 92 of Gladstone, MO passed away Feb. 29, 2016.
Visitation will be held from 6- 8:00, Thurs, March 3. Funeral will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 4 all at White Chapel Funeral Home.
Charles was a native of Clay County, MO and the son of Russell L. and Katherine M. Kennedy.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nadine R. Kennedy. They were married for 64 years.
He is survived by his two sons Patrick C. Kennedy (Brenda) and John R. Kennedy (Kimberly). He had 6 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren with 1 more on the way.
He served in the Navy during WWII as an aviator. He flew PB4Y Patrol Bombers off the islands of Iwo Jima, Tinian, Peleliu and Eniwetok in the Pacific.
He had a long career of 33 years with Brinks. He was a scout master for Troop 272 at Linden Baptist Church. He and his family hosted 2 AFS students. He was also an avid quail and deer hunter. Charlie traveled extensively with Nadine in the 30 years since their retirement. They were members of WBCCI Travel Club Region 8. He was a past president of the club.
