Joe “Papaw Joe” Thomas Snow, Sr., 81 of McGehee and Star City died Monday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

He was born January 20, 1935 at home in McArthur to Thomas Richard and Bertha Lee Ingram Snow.

He was a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church and was very active in the community. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife Mary Kay Thurman Snow of Star City; 2 sons, Joe “Jody” Thomas (Robyn) Snow, Jr. of Star City and Todd Snow of McGehee; daughter, Sherrie Kay (Matt) Miles of McGehee; sister, Louise Wilson of Rohwer; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00PM Friday at First Baptist Church at McGehee with Bro. Eugene Hatcher and Bro. Doug Cooper officiating.

Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Thursday at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.

Burial at McArthur Cemetery in McGehee.

Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital Cancer Unit, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
