Jane Fay McCutchen Wallace - 1921-2016

Jane Fay McCutchen Wallace of Houston, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 28, 2016. Born in Widener, Arkansas in 1921, she is predeceased by her parents, William P. and Fay B. McCutchen, brother William Paul McCutchen, sister Margaret Lee McCutchen Tufts and husband Conway L. Wallace.
She is survived by sons, William H. Wallace and wife Pamela, George E.C. Wallace and wife Suzy and daughter Sarah Jane Wallace Richardson, grandchildren Jennifer Wallace Warren, William Anderson Wallace, William Ian Wallace, Kimberly Ann Richardson, James Wallace Richardson, Carol Jane Wallace, brother-in-law Edward A. Tufts and niece Margaret Tufts Tenney.
Jane lived in Shreveport, Louisiana during her childhood. She attended St. Vincent's Academy for both high school and college. Her college education was interrupted by World War II. After her marriage to Conway in 1947, the couple moved to Houston, Texas and began raising their family. Jane worked for eleven years as a clerk with the Harris County Tax Assessor and Collector. She was a parishioner at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for 50 years and did volunteer work at the St. Vincent de Paul Woman's Guild.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Colonial Oaks Assisted Living Facility at S. Braeswood for the wonderful care they provided Jane.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Monday, March 7, 2016, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Rd. The Rite of Committal will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr.
