Lowell Kenneth Thompson, 82, of Keswick, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016.Born on June 7, 1933, in Stanly County, North Carolina, to the late Jethro and Mary Gladys Thompson.

In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Claudia B. Thompson; his sons, Lowell Ashley Thompson and his wife, Sherry, and Justin Kenneth Thompson and his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Annabel Britton and her husband, Timothy; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Lowell is also survived by a host of other family and friends that will sorely miss him.

Lowell was a retired electrical engineer. He also enjoyed restoring antiques and upholstery.Lowell was a devoted bible student throughout his life, and was a member of the Charlottesville Seventh-day Adventist Church. He also enjoyed the fellowship at Calvary Seventh-day Adventist Church of Gordonsville.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Teague Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Flowers officiating.
