Nellie Rose Thomas , 70, of Columbia died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Columbia Health and Rehabilitation.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Nilson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Cook officiating. Burial will be in Carrollton. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Carrollton to Andrew William Calvert and Rose Zeta Mason Calvert. On Oct. 1, 1969, she married Julius Frances Thomas in Norborne, and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was active in many church activities.
Survivors include a brother, James Calvert of Columbia, and two sisters, Anna Bell Austin of Carrollton and Ethel Brightwell of Harrisburg.
