Katherine “Kate Marie” Bell died Monday, February 29, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at First Christian Church, 2306 Vineville Avenue, on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2:00PM with Dr. Bill Hammonds and Pastor Will Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
Mrs. Bell was a faithful member for over 50 years and a deacon at First Christian Church. She and her husband were married for 59 years and raised 4 children. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Bell helped her husband in his optometry business. She was an avid reader and loved to cook. Mrs. Bell was predeceased by her husband, Walter Lee Bell, Jr.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her children:, Dee Dee (Bill) Quiggle of Crested Butte, Colorado, Walter (Elizabeth) Bell, III of Atlanta, George Bell of Nashville, Tennessee, and Vance (Jenny) Bell of Dalton, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and close friend, Bubba Reid.
Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
