Guadalupe Alfaro, Sr. 94, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his home. He worked as a professional auto painter all of his life. Guadalupe’s passion in life were caring for his family and gardening along with carpentry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cirilio and Luz Alfaro; daughter, Lucy Alfaro; grandson, Victor Longoria, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his children, Guadalupe Alfaro, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Victor Alfaro of Beaumont, Stella Longoria of Beaumont, Pete Alfaro, Sr. and wife Diane of Kountze, Daniel Alfaro and wife Lois of Vidor, Robert Alfaro, Sr. and wife Sherry Vidor, Evon Rodriguez of Houston, Julian Alfaro and wife Sabrina of Beaumont and Anna Gonzalez and husband Jose of Kountze; 24 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2016 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.

Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Alfaro, Sr., Tasha Rodriguez, Julian Alfaro, Jose Gonzalez, Sr., Pete Alfaro, Jr., Vincent Longoria and LaNelle Johns. Honorary pallbearers are Guadalupe Alfaro III, Robert Alfaro, Jr., Travis Johns, Jose Muniz, J. T. Gonzales, Jr., Joshua Alfaro, Jacob Alfaro and Robert Alfaro, Sr.
