Garry Towsend Sr. ,59, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 2, 1956 in Clark County to the late Otis and Edith Tipton Townsend. He was an
electrician and crane operator at Bluegrass Artcast.
He is survived by one daughter Erin Townsend, Clark Co. One son Tommy Townsend, Powell Co. One stepdaughter Melissa Humphery. Eight Grandchildren. Two sisters; Judy Stacey, Clark Co. and Teresa York, Winchester. Three brothers; DonnieTownsend, Clark County, Roy and his twin brother Larry Townsend both of Mt. Sterling. Several nieces and nephews. His Girlfriend and caregiver Shelia Lawrence. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his son, Garry Townsend Jr., a sister Debra Holder and a brother Michael Townsend.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday March 4, 2016 at Scobee Funeral Home by Reverend Donald Wayne Hale. Burial will follow in Boonesboro Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
