Born March 2, 1925, in St. Joseph, she lived in Maryland for many years until moving back to St. Joseph in 1999. Mary graduated from Central High School.
She worked in Kansas City in the Department of Agriculture and after the war, she moved to Maryland, where she worked for the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C., for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the 17th Street Community of Christ Church, formerly named Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bertha Denton.
Survivors; her sisters, Norma Brooner, Marjorie Ruoff, and Grace McVicker; her brothers, Eugene and Louis Denton; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment: Monday, Memorial Park Cemetery.
