Barbara L. Dispennett, 85, Bangor, Michigan, life-long resident of Goshen, died 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born Oct. 20, 1930 in Goshen to Charles & Hazel (Holmes) Fowler. She married Donald Dispennett on Dec. 6, 1952 and he died Dec. 29, 2000.
Surviving are her sons, Douglas Lee (Genya) Dispennett, Goshen and Darold D. (Jill) Dispennett, Bangor, Michigan, 3 grandchildren, Angela, Heather, Doug and 4 great-grandchildren, Keagan, Keller, Faith and Vivian. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, a half-brother, two brothers and four sisters.
Barbara was a member of the Jefferson Community Church, Goshen, Women of the Moose, Goshen, bowled for 34 years, an avid sewer, baker and enjoyed crafts. She loved boating, golfing, being outdoors and had many friends. She worked at Johnson Controls, retiring in 1993, where she worked in assembly and was a relief operator.
