Eugene F. Harper, Jr. "Butch", 72, of Belleview went home to be with the Lord February 28, 2016. Born in Orlando, FL he came to this area in 1977 from West Palm Beach, FL. He was a retired contractor and owner/operator of Interstate Construction Co. of Belleview. Mr. Harper was a member of First Baptist Church of Belleview and their Good News Club and Prayer Ministry. He was also a master craftsman and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Helen L. Harper; daughter, Stacia Lynn Foden "Stacy"(Frank) of Crystal River, FL; son, Eugene F. Harper III "Buster" (Carol) of Dunnellon, FL; sisters, Cynthia Ashton (Charles) of Belleview, FL and Jean Thompson (Carl) of Pulaski, TN; brother, Tom Harper of Belleview, FL; grandchildren, Michael Harper, Calvin (Ruth) and Krista Murphy, Eugene F. Harper IV "Bubba" (Elizabeth), Kelsie, Kacie and Kamie Harper and Zachary Foden. A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Belleview (6107 SE Agnew Rd., Belleview) Memorial Service is pending. Inurnment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Good News Club in care of First Baptist Church of Belleview. Arrangements by Roberts Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel 606 SW 2nd Ave. Ocala 622-4141.
