James Joseph "Jim" Rudolph, 84, of Dublin, passed into Eternal Life on February 28, 2016. He was born on March 28, 1931 to the late Victor A. and Helen M. (Donahue) Rudolph. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife and camping buddy Virginia Lee (Weber) Rudolph, brother Victor J. Rudolph, and step-father John M. "Grandpa" Cline. Jim graduated from West High where he played football and basketball, serving as captain of both teams his senior year, and earning All City Honors for football his senior year. He was also a member of the undefeated 1948 championship football team. Jim was a life member of the West High School Alumni Association. He worked for 38 years as a salesman for Graybar. While there, he won multiple sales awards, and was the top salesman in his district for 20 years. Jim was a man of faith who loved golfing, the outdoors and camping. He was also a big fan of The Ohio State University football and basketball teams. He was a kind, selfless and generous husband and father who will be deeply missed by his children James J. "Jim" (Mary) Rudolph, Teri (Jeff) Miller and Vic (Renee) Rudloph; grandchildren Stephanie, Sarah and Tori Rudolph and Rachel and Joshua O'Brien; 2 great grandchildren; and his companion Marilyn Andrews and her family. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jim's life on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 3-7 pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. His funeral service will be held there at 1pm Friday, March 4, 2016, with his best friend Reverend Ed Sensenbrenner officiating. IN HONOR OF JIM, PLEASE COME IN YOUR BEST OSU ATTIRE. Burial will follow at Flint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his memory may be made to OhioHealth Hospice by going to www.ohiohealth.com/foundation-hospice .
