Professional Football Player. For five seasons (1986 to 1990), he played at the center, tackle and guard positions in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots. Born David Glenn Douglas, he attended Rhea County High School in Tennessee and played collegiate football at the University of Tennessee. Douglas was a contributor to the Volunteers' Southeastern Conference Title in 1985 which culminated with an upset victory over Miami in the Sugar Bowl. Signed by Cincinnati during the 8th round of the 1986 NFL Draft, he totaled 56 regular season games. He experienced a Super Bowl run with the Bengals in 1988. He died following a battle with brain cancer.
