SHERMAN - Dottie Sue (Walden) Rollins was born May 20th, 1926 in Sherman, Texas to John P. Walden and Nita M. (Jennings) Walden and went to her Heavenly home on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2015 from the Texoma Health Care Center at the age of 89.

Dottie married Jack Rollins, the love of her life, on February 15th, 1947. Mrs. Rollins lived most of her life in Sherman where she was a homemaker for many years, then worked for Wacker and TG&Y variety stores for numerous years. She was a devoted and loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong willed and determined woman, who never encountered a chore or job that she would not tackle and conquer. She was a long time member of Loving Baptist Church in Sherman.

Mrs. Rollins was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bill Poet; brothers, Archie Walden, Lowery Walden and Melvin Walden; and sister Erma Hall Lusk.

She is survived by her husband of almost 69 years, Jack; daughters, grandchildren, J and six great grandchildren all of Sherman; brother, ; sister, of Sherman, TX; sister-in-law, of Collinsville, TX; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Mrs. Rollins family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 27th, from 3-5 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28th, at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Delbert Preuninger officiating. A private interment will take place at Macomb Cemetery, southwest of Southmayd.
