Stephanie became an angel on February 20, 2016.
She was born July 17, 1980 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL.

Stephanie worked at Thomas Jefferson School in Joliet, Brookstone at Louis Joliet Mall, Dairy Queen in Shorewood, Michael's Pizza on Essington and numerous other jobs.

She was a 1998 graduate of Joliet West High School and attended Joliet Junior College in Culinary Arts and Northern Illinois University. She graduated from Kish College in 2005.

She loved acting. Along with being in the musical "Honk" at Kish College, she was in the movies, "The Break Up" and "Fred Claus". Her other loves included singing, dancing and watching crime TV shows. Stephanie had a great sense of humor and was very protective of her family. She gave money to those in need and gave out bags of candy for Halloween and Christmas to people at Northwestern Hospital while she was a patient there from October 2015 to January 2016.

Stephanie leaves behind her precious son, Tyler Mays; her loving parents, Betty Mays and Stephen Mays; a wonderful brother, Steve Mays; a fantastic sister, Stacie Mays; and a caring niece, Aliren Mays. She was loved by all of her family, friends and all that knew her. "Pump it up Stephanie! We love you eternally!"

Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet.

Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
