Former Cedaredge, Colorado resident, Mary E. Kehmeier, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Colorow Care Center in Olathe, CO. She was 93 years of age.

Mary Elizabeth Briscoe was born on June 12, 1922, to Richard James and Nell Gladys (Wilson) Briscoe in Yuma, Colorado. She spent her childhood in Yuma and Hill City, Kansas. When Mary was a junior in high school, her family moved to Cedaredge, where she graduated from Cedaredge High School. After graduation, she received her Bachelor's Degree from Western State College. She continued her higher education with a Master's Degree from Utah State University.

Mary married John "Jack" Robert Kehmeier on July 8, 1945 in Cedaredge, Colorado. To this union, five children were born.

Mary was a member of Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church where she was very involved, including UMWA; she was also a member of 3 Corner Club and various bridge clubs.

Mary enjoyed fishing, playing bridge, knitting and traveling with Jack. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma. One of her greatest joys was watching her children and grandchildren play sporting events.

Mary is survived by her three sons: Richard (Andrea) Kehmeier, of Conifer, William (Cindy) Kehmeier, of Eckert, and Kenneth (Lorrie) Kehmeier of Ft. Collins; a daughter, Roxana (Robert) Brown of Parker; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Nell Briscoe; her loving husband, Jack Kehmeier; an infant daughter; and a great-grandchild, Kimber Brown.

A memorial service honoring Mary's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church in Cedaredge, CO.

Inurnment will follow at Cedaredge Cemetery, Cedaredge, CO.
