FRED FREED June 3, 1945 - January 6, 2010 Fred Freed was born in Newark, NJ on June 3, 1945 to Frederick D. Freed and Martha W. Johnson. He grew up in Lake Park, FL and graduated from Riviera Beach High School in 1963. Fred served in the Army during the Vietnam War and returned to Palm Beach County for many years. After moving to Alford, FL Fred spent several years serving with the Compass Lake Volunteer Fire Department and helped mentally handicapped people through the ARC. He is survived by his wife, his children, his stepson, in addition to 12 grandchildren. He was adamant that he should have no memorial service.
