A Resident of This City [New Castle, Pennsylvania] for Past 39 Years Dies at Her Home Last Night After a Brief Illness.

Mrs. Susana McCullough, a devoted mother and active Christian, who had been a resident of this city for nearly 40 years, died in the sixty-ninth year of her age at her residence, 29 North Lee avenue last night at eleven o'clock Mrs. McCullough had been an Invalid for the last three years, suffering uncomplainingly from stomach disorders, but her last illness was of only a week's duration. Through it all she maintained an air of cheerfulness.

Mrs. McCullough, whose maiden name was Susan Gould, was born [to Irvin and Rachael Milholland Gould] in Mercer county in 1843. Most of her girlhood and the early part of her married life was spent in West Middlesex.

She married William F. McCullough [Sr.] in 1862, and came to New Castle in 1872. She was a member of the First Christian church, as her failing health made it impossible for her to go to the longer distance to the church of which she was a member.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a family of six children and six grandchildren. The children are H. R. McCullough of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. T. B. McCarthy of Bellevue, W. F. McCullough, Jr., and H. C. McCullough of Woodlawn and Mrs. Marietta Lowery of 305 Harbor street and James E. McCullough of 704 Chestnut street, this city [New Castle]. Two brothers, Samuel and Amos Gould of Oklahoma and three sisters, Mrs. David [Nancy Ellen] Campman and Mrs. Calvin [Effie] George of West Middlesex and Mrs. May Crable of Portland, Ore., also survive her.
