Calvin (Chick) Cooledge Chaffin 88, of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, Texas. He was born on April 28, 1927 in Simpson, Oklahoma to the late Harvey Chaffin and Lela Armstrong Chaffin. Calvin was raised in Mannsville where he graduated high school. He married Lillian Lavern Green on May 7, 1951 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2013. He moved to Ardmore where he worked for the Daily Ardmoreite as a Pressman for 40 years and later worked for the Gainesville Register where he retired in 1993. Calvin was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore and he enjoyed playing music at the nursing homes and working in the yard.

He is survived by:

Daughters: Susan Price and husband James, Gainesville, Texas

Terri LaQuey and husband Phil, Sadler, Texas



Grandchildren: Burk Morphew, Kris Price, Nick and Julia Price and Jamie Stewart



Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Babb, Seth Price and Lily Price



Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins



Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother and 1 sister.
