Robert served in the US Army during WWII and had worked with the rail road for several years. Until his retirement, Robert was the head of maintenance at Penn Yan Academy. He also operated a business where he made rubber stamps, plaques and trophies for many area businesses, organizations and schools. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Robert is survived by his son, Kevin (Karen) Swann; grandson, Jody (Emily) Swann; his great grandchild, Bradan Swann; and the second love of his life, Arlene Smith. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Teresa O. Swann in 1991.
A gathering celebrating Robert's life will be held at the convenience of his family. Robert will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan.
