Ellen Joanne Mitchell, 65, of Lewistown died at 5:12 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Oct. 24, 1950 in Columbia, Lancaster County she was a daughter of the late Mary Elma (Smith) and Eli Charles Frick.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: a sister, Nancy Coffman: a brother, Rick Frick; and two infant grandsons, Blake Mitchell and Randy Beers, Jr.
She is survived by: her husband, who was the love of her life for 42 years, John Henry Mitchell whom she married March 6, 1973; her children, Katherine Duncan, Audrey Zimmerman and husband, Virgil, and Alfred Mitchell and companion, Gloria Arnold, all of Lewistown; her siblings, Rose Kennedy and husband, Lloyd, of Lancaster, William Frick and wife, Bonnie, of McAlisterville, Sandy Porch and husband, Jack, of Granville, Frank Frick and companion, Sis Anderson, of Mt. Joy, Terry Frick, of Mifflin and Russell Frick, of Granville; grandchildren, Dustin Jodon and wife, Nicole, Mitchell Jodon and companion, Valerie, Kayla Royer and husband, Timothy, William Duncan, Jr., Jeremiah Beers, Johnathon Beers, Alexander Zimmerman, Kourtnei Arnold and Chase Mitchell; and great-grandchildren, Alexa Jodon, Madison Royer and Hanna Jodon.
Ellen worked at Empire Kosher for 44 years retiring in 2012.
She was a life member of M.C.F.F. crew.
Ellen was an avid Bingo player; she loved Bingo. She enjoyed collecting Elvis Presley items. She was a Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State fan. Ellen especially enjoyed outings with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 at Juniata Memorial Park with Rev. John Walters officiating.
