Therese was a fine, gentle, gracious woman. Am honored to have known her. God bless her and Chuck.

Devoted Wife, Devoted Mother, Devoted Catholic

Therese passed away peacefully February 26, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Maple Park, IL on April 28, 1931.

Therese was devoted to her Catholic faith and was very active at the St. Vincent de Paul parish where she attended daily mass. She was a member of any group that didn't require ordination including the women's group, newcomer's group and bereavement group. She was a beloved second grade teacher at St. Vincent's School for 17 years. Therese enjoyed hiking, gardening, entertaining, socializing and playing with her grandchildren. She volunteered for numerous organizations including the Utah Symphony, The Olympics and the Assistance League.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Charles and her five siblings.

She is survived by her children Greg (Stella), Patrick (Tina), Maureen (Mark) Casper, Kevin (Michelle), to whom she was a loving mother; and grandchildren Josh, Tania, Ryan, Megan, Brianna, Rebekah, Jacob, Noah and Lukas.

Viewing will be held on Monday, February 29th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Please use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 1st at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul, 1375 East Spring Lane. Interment to follow at Murray City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Vincent's or the charity of your choice .
