Collette was passionate about environmental and historical preservation and dedicated in her life to working for the Probate Court of Mobile County as a supervisor in the Archive/Record Department.
She is survived by Greg Spies, confidant, companion and collaborator for the past quarter of the century, her children Lindsey Wyatt, Stephen King, Sobel King, Lloyd King, sisters Harriette Buckenham, Vicki Flurnoy, Lona Joyce Gallow, 12 grandchildren, 2.5 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2 at Serenity Funeral Home from 1m-2pm with funeral services starting at 2 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Oddfellow Cemetery.
