Rev. Robert Joe Hammack (Pastor Bob), born March 27, 1929, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Robert is survived by his children, son Joe Hammack Jr; five daughters, Paula H Swearingen (husband Richard), Sharon Walls (husband AJ), Cynthia Lott, Judy Hammack, and Elaine Browder (husband Eddie); ten grandchildren, Allen Walls (wife Georigiana), Marcus Walls (wife Nancy), Kelly Walls (wife Becky), Anthony Walls (wife Amber), Danielle Walls, Robbie Hammack, Teresa Lott, Martiz Ballard (husband Chris), and Jodi Fussell (husband Mike); 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda C. Hammack; second wife; Margaret T. Hammack, granddaughter; Vicki Ramsay, parents; Luther and Ota A. Hammack, one brother and three sisters. The family request that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and again on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home at 12:00pm officiated by Ministers Richard Swearingen, Nick Hager and Errol Faust. Special songs will include Another Soldier Coming Home in honor of his children and I Thought He Walked On Water in honor of his grandchildren. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the service. Pallbearers will be Allen Walls, Marc Walls, Kelly Walls, Anthony Walls, Jacob Myers, Hunter Ballard, Spencer Ramsay, and Garrett Ramsay. Special thanks to the LA War Veterans Home in Jackson, Melissa, Quintin, Burt, Danielle, Iyanna, Gwen, Martina and Linda May.
