Bobby Wilson Westmoreland, 85, of Walnut Cove, passed away Thursday morning, February 25, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Westmoreland was born December 5, 1930, in Rockingham County, NC to the late Allen and Edna Pearman Westmoreland. Bobby attended Fulp Moravian Church, where he was a member of the Reaves Davis Sunday School class, and the Rocking Seniors. Reading newspapers and watching the news were his favorite pastimes. Bobby played both baseball and football while in school, and was a sports fanatic. Mr. Westmoreland served his country proudly in the United States Navy, and during the Korean Conflict served aboard the USS Antietam. He loved attending Navy Reunions, and had perfect attendance since 1990. Bobby retired from Miller Coors Brewing in 1992 with more than twenty years of service.
A 3:00 pm memorial service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Fulp Moravian Church, with Rev. Wayne Byerly, and Rev. Joshua Bennett officiating.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service on Sunday, February 28, 2016.
