Jimmie Norvel Carver of Parker, Texas passed away February 25, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born July 16, 1941 to Elton Carver and Vader Marie (Sims) Carver in Jack County, Texas.

Jimmie was a 1959 graduate of Bowie High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 through 1965.

Jimmie married Nancy Young on November 11, 1961 in Bowie, Texas.

Jimmie worked for Texas Instruments as a radar mechanic early in his career. He then continued his career with IBM as an account manager where he retired after thirty-two years of faithful service. Jimmie enjoyed football and NASCAR. He will be remembered for his volunteering at the church and taking care of people.

Jimmie is survived by daughters, Carole Merritt and husband Keith of Allen, Texas and Christi Sandell and husband Terry of Farmers Branch, Texas; grandchildren, Elisa Merritt and fiance Adam, Aaron Routt and wife Sarah, Courtney Keel and husband Joe, Christopher Routt, Lauren Davis, and Alexis Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carver.

A funeral service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Perrin Memorial Garden in Perrin, Texas.
