Chris B. Gonzales, 56, of Amarillo died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Tierra Santa, 1417 N.E. 15th St., with Evilson Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.

Chris was born Jan. 8, 1960 in Raymondville to Antonio and Eloisa Gonzales. He grew up in Tulia, where he attended school. After moving to Amarillo, he worked at Tyson Meat Company in the production department for 17 years. Chris was known for his cooking, barbecue, singing, playing the guitar and hanging out at the river; but his greatest gift was the time he spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Gonzales; and three brothers, Julian, Gonzales, Tony Gonzales and Jesse Gonzales.

Survivors include a daughter, Eloisa Gonzales; a son, Chris Gonzales Jr.; his mother, Eloisa Gonzales; eight sisters and brothers, Isabel Amparan, Lupe Valencia, Noe Gonzales, Mary Charles, Precila Botello, Beatrice Mena, Rudy Gonzales and Ricky Gonzales; and five grandchildren, Gavin Gonzales, Selena Pompa, Savannah Pompa, Odyssey Pompa and Ezariah Gonzales.

Viewing will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
