Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in United Methodist Church with the Rev. Monte Kreis officiating. Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck.
Mr. Pierce was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Deuel County, Neb., to Ivan Leonard Pierce and Evelyn Turner Pierce. He married Shirley Schutt on Feb. 14, 1959, in Big Springs, Neb.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Skip Pierce of Porter and Jim Pierce of Argonia, Kan.; a daughter, Brenda Jenkins of Canadian; a brother, Bobby Pierce of Grand Island, Neb.; a sister, Shirley Rankin of Ogallala, Neb.; a half sister, Helen Kenfield of Ogallala; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Attn.: Chemo Department, Woodward Regional Hospital, in care of Auxiliary, 900 17th St., Woodward, OK 73801.
