Barby's sparkling eyes, infectious smile, laugh and zest for life could light up any room. Simple things made her happy such as a ride in the car, a walk in her wheelchair, fairytale movies, drawing pictures, holding babies and stuffed animals, being in the kitchen and eating good food, buying presents, getting a manicure, dolphins, flowers, having an orderly and clean house, soaking in the bathtub, listening to music, singing, wearing jewelry and hugging people. Her acute observation skills could not be rivaled and she found many lost items. She loved watching people. From the porch, she stood (or sat) sentry over Woodland Road in Pennsylvania where her family resided. She never hesitated to supervise her seven younger brothers and sisters, especially while doing yard work.
Barby was born May 27, 1950, in Gloversville, NY. She loved her life and held on to it fiercely. Her heart was unstoppable, full of enthusiasm, compassion and love for those she associated with. Her life was shorter than hoped but much longer than expected, and we were blessed.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Henry R. Siebach. She is survived by her mother, Karla A. (Radack) Siebach; and seven siblings: Susanne (Wayne) Leary, Marlin (Brenda) Siebach, Steven (Teresa) Siebach, Ronald (Holly) Siebach, Peter (Linda) Siebach, Heidi (Brian) Bethers and Karen (Brent) Anderson.
The family would like to thank the staff at West Jordan Care Center for their love and devotion to our Barby.
