Donald O. Bigelow was born April 28, 1932, in Tiffin, Iowa the son of Oscar and Genevieve (Weeks) Bigelow. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country during the Korean Conflict. Returning to this area, he worked for his father and others in the construction business, and later cared for his parents before their deaths.
His family includes a brother and his wife, Jim and Joyce Bigelow of Iowa City, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
