Our beloved Rachel Ellen Lamb, 48, passed away on Feb. 14, 2016, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska.

Rachel was born on Feb. 16, 1967, at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

She graduated from Profile High School in Franconia, N.H. She continued her education at the Eastern School of Farriery in Martinsville, Va.

She enjoyed welding, dog pulling, horseback riding, fishing and was a multi-media artisan.

Her family wrote: "The gentleness of her spirit was felt by all. Her heart was pure, loving, humble and unselfish. Everyone gravitated towards her, her smile was easy, her spirit was free. She reveled in the innocence of children. She loved her family and the 'Four Leggers' unconditionally. Rachel will be missed by many."

Rachel is survived by her husband, Chuck Lamb; father, Jeff Harvey; mother and stepfather, Janet Horton and Michael McHose; siblings, Heather and Mike Lee of Grand Junction, Colo., Gretchen and Doug Hillman of Whitefield, N.H., Nathan Harvey of Swanton, Vt., Sarah and Adam Churchill of Newell, Ga., and Mariah McHose, Bethlehem, N.H.; brother and sister-in-law, Linus and Karen Sandstrom of Hebron, Conn.; and nieces and nephews, Ian and Aly Galipeau of Keene, N.H., Zebediah Galipeau of Brattleboro, Vt., Ayla Knapton of Littleton, N.H., Sarah Harvey, Natalee Harvey and Rachel Harvey, all of Swanton, Vt., and Benjamin and Simon Churchill of Newell, Ga.

Rachel is preceded in death by her mother, Mary McHose and Francis Lamb.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations can be made to the St. Bernard Club of Alaska, 11200 Hideaway Trail, Anchorage, AK 99507.
