James Patrick Steiner, 74, passed away February 25, 2016.

James honorably served in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1964 as an Embassy Security Guard throughout the Middle East and during the Cold War. Upon discharge from the Marine Corp, James went to work for TWA and retired after thirty-two years.

He was an honest, hardworking man who did everything very well, and was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who provided a wonderful life full of precious memories for his family. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, three daughters, one son, and many grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday February 29, 2016 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Emmanuel Mensah officiating.

Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday February 28, 2016 from 5-6:30 PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory 509 W Washington St. Suffolk.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to the Alzheimer's Association 6350 Center Dr. #102 Norfolk, VA 23452. Condolences may be offered at www.RWBaker.com.
