After a short, but hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer, Lorna departed this Earth for the Kingdom of Heaven.


Lorna was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Violet Manley as well as her brother and IMPD Officer, Ronald Manley.

Lorna is survived by her loving husband, Jim Carter, daughters, Tammy Drew (Randy Butrum), Alison McLaughlin (husband Scott), Jessie Shoopman (husband Joe), son, Adam Carter (wife Andrea) and seven grandkids, Michael McLaughlin, Ryan Drew, Collin Carter, Laney Shoopman, McKayla McLaughlin, Lilly Carter and Evyn Shoopman as well as Lorna’s closest and lifelong friends, Debbie Long and Jodi Carter.

In her lifetime, Lorna held many careers including Beautician, Secretary, Real Estate Agent and Stained Glass Artist. She was also a faithful volunteer at the voting polls in Cartersburg, Indiana for 20 years.

Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Wednesday March 2, 2016 and from 11 AM until service time at 12 Noon Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
