A native of Union, she was a daughter of the late John and Minnie Palmer Whitlock.
She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church, a graduate of Union High School and was retired from Milliken Company, Monarch Plant.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne Palmer of Union and Douglas Palmer of Pensacola, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Philippi Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Tim Huckaby and Jesse Bentley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday to await the hour of service.
The family is at the home of her son, Wayne Palmer, 246 Frank Hill Loop, Union. Memorials may be made to the Philippi Baptist Church Building Fund, 327 Philippi Church Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
