Mrs. Virginia McKinney age 89 of Daige Drive Morganton, GA., passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday Feb. 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness. Mrs. McKinney was born on April 18, 2016 the daughter of the late Carl Clarence Young and the late Minnie Leola Howell Young. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis McKinney on Feb. 6, 2016 and a son, Glenn Allen McKinney. Jenna as she was known was a lovely woman with a ready smile and gentle hug not far away. One of Virginia’s favorite songs was one day at a time sweet Jesus. Mrs. McKinney was of the Christian faith. Surviving Mrs. McKinney are one son and daughter in law, Mike and Linda McKinney of Morganton, one grandson, Christopher McKinney of Knoxville, TN., many other relatives and friends also survive. A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Okechobee, FL. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mrs. McKinney’s memory
