Dorothy is the daughter of former Penn. Gov. Wm. Cameron Sproul, and Emeline (Roach) Sproul. She married Henry Jacob Klaer 7 Oct 1914 in Chester, Penn. They were the parents of 2 children: William Sproul Klaer 1916-1917, and Jane Sproul Klaer (Aspinall).
She was widowed in 1918 when Henry was stricken with the pandemic flu of 1918 and died at age 29.
Dorothy then married Joseph Henry Ward Hinkson on 11/3/1920 at Lapidea Manor, Chester, PA, whom she divorced within three years.
She married her third (and last) husband, Laurence Price Sharples. in Philadelphia, PA, in 1923.
She died 8 years later from heart and liver disease.
