Brenda Welborn Gibbons, 45, of Bay St. Louis, formerly of Laurel, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Hancock County Hospital in Bay St. Louis. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Cross Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County. The Rev. Alton Carr will officiate. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by two sons, John Welborn of Nevada and Chad Morgan of Bay St. Louis; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John Welch of Texas; two grandchildren, Dakota Owens and Caleb Welch; mother, Ruby Geissler of Laurel; a half-brother, Gerald Welborn of Laurel; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Glenda and Billy Maxcey of Laurel and Linda Welborn of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews; three great-nephews; special friend, David Hudson; and a host of other relatives. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
