Nancy Faircloth Michael, 85, of Norwood, surrounded by her loving family, passed away early Thursday morning, February 25, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at First United Methodist Church Norwood. Rev. Doug Hochmuth will officiate and burial will follow in Stony Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Michael was born March 7, 1930 in Barbour County, AL to the late Robert Raford and Lula Mae Renfro Faircloth. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Norwood, where she served as greeter for the early worship service, assisted with the homebound ministry, helped prepare breakfast for the United Methodist Men and the monthly church wide fellowship meals.
Nancy was a wonderful cook. She can be remembered for her meals she prepared while working at The Brown Jug, Boomers and Norwood Family Restaurant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wilson Michael; brothers Robert, Bufford, Emmett, Marlin and Andy; sister, Estelle; son-in-law, Bobby Boles; special grandson, Chris Boles and special great-grandson, Daniel Boles.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Gwen Michael Atkins and husband, Larry and Tammy Michael Brewer and husband, David all of Norwood; grandsons, Joshua Brewer and wife, Holly and Michael Brewer; special grandchildren, Tyrone Boles, Tami Lee and Patti Boles; special great-grandchildren, Benjamin & Samuel Lee; many nieces and nephews.
