Nancy Janet Horner, age 73, of Pensacola, was called home February 26, 2016. She was born January 16, 1943 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Patrick and Rosetta Culnan. Nancy was known as the anchor that held her late husband, a U.S. Navy retiree, and their family in safe harbor. Her career as a homemaker and military wife gave her a no-nonsense approach that is appreciated by her family.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband David, brother Patrick “Dean” Culnan and her parents.
She is survived her three cherished children David Horner of Birmingham, AL, Tony (Phyllis) Horner and Karen (Jeffery) Barnes; three grandchildren Michael Crouch, Jennifer Barnes and Jessica Barnes; seven great-grandchildren; sister Susan Culnan of Poplar Bluff , MO; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM – 7:00PM Monday, February 29, 2016 at FAITH CHAPEL SOUTH, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32505. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Barrancas National Cemetery. Charles "Bud" Myer Jr., Ph.D, of Warrington Church of Christ will be officiating.
