With her artistic flair Rhonda learned classical guitar and was a painter as well. She also enjoyed crafting paper boxes that were often given as gifts, always with a favorite Bible verse tucked inside.
While attending college Rhonda held various jobs but her favorite was working at the Prescott Pines Youth Camp. She spent one summer leading youth on pack trips into the Grand Canyon. Rhonda loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping, family hunting trips, skiing and more in both Arizona and Oregon. She also traveled on mission trips to New England and Mexico as well as vacation trips to several parts of the western United States.
Rhonda married her former husband in McMinnville on May 8, 1982. She lived and worked in the Phoenix area for many years working for the Phoenix public school system. In obedience to her Lord she served Him through ministry to women wherever she lived and worked up until the time of passing.
Rhonda moved back to the McMinnville area several years ago and went to work for the Willamette Educational Service District until her decline in health. She battled with cancer for over 4 ½ years always staying positive and looking forward to the next day. She firmly believed she won whatever the outcome and always took opportunity to share her faith with others taking the cancer journey. She was greatly loved and cherished by family and friends as well as the many women who were a part of her Bible Study groups.
Rhonda is survived by her parents Alan and Nancy White, sisters Lana Drew (husband Kevin) and Cheryl Mayo (husband Ken), nieces Andrea Moreland (husband Chris) , Jessica Drew, Brianne Matthews (husband Sam) and Madeline Mayo along with nephews Michael Drew (wife Andrea), Brenden Drew (wife Laura), Austin Drew, Cody Drew and Zachary Drew as well as five grand-nieces and two grand-nephews.
