Ronald E. Flora, 53, of Delphi, died at 4:37 p.m. Aug. 8, 2000, at his residence. He had been ill for the past 21 months.

Born May 4, 1947, in Cutler, he was the son of Carl J. and Sarah E. Runs Flora.

He was a 1965 graduate of the former Camden High School. He married Vanice S. Filbrun on June 25, 1967, in Dayton, Ohio, and she survives.

Mr. Flora had worked at D-K Construction for the past three years. Before that, he owned and1 operated Ron Flora Construction, a general contracting company, for more than 15 years.

He was a member of the Deer Creek Old German Baptist Church at Camden. He served two years as a conscientious objector at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

Also surviving are his father, of Camden; one son, Roland, of New Lebanon, Ohio; a daughter, Valinda Davison of Garnett, Kan.; a brother, Dean Flora of Plevna, Ind.; two , Sisters, Evelyn Flora of Flora, Charlotte Shoup of New Carlisle, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Services were Friday at the Camden Old German Baptist Church with Home Brethren, officiating. Burial was in Musselman Cemetery, Camden. Abbott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
