"Elmer was the son of William Miller and Anna (Jones) Christian. He and Elva Olive Welch were married December 25, 1918, in New Boston.

He is survived by two daughters, Katherine High and Oudima and Craig Simpson; a son, Billy (and Lois) Christian; six grandsons, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel (and Ernest) Morris; and a sister-in-law, Bessie Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Allen, Frank and Glessie; two sisters ,Barbara Goddard, and Rena Bell Majors; four infant sisters and his son-in-law, Joseph O. High."
