Elvia Smith Pearson, age 85, resident of 803 Katherine Ave., Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord On February 25, 2016. Elvia was born in Cleveland County, the daughter of the late Frank Smith and Essie Carr Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Leon Pearson, Sr. and grandson Brian Pearson King. She retired from Cleveland County Department of Social Services after 18 years of service. She loved her grandchildren. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer and was an active member of First Baptist Church.
