Dean Stuart Austin, 40, of Sutter, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, in his home.

He was born March 10, 1963, in Quincy, a son of Nancy Baker and Dan Austin.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy (Steve) Baker of Quincy; his father, Dan (Chris) Austin of Springfield; one grandfather, Lester Wollbrink of Sutter; three brothers, Doug (Peggy) Austin, Tim Belden of Quincy, and Chance Austin of Springfield; one step-brother, Rodney (Stephanie) Belden of Mount Sterling; five aunts and uncles, Evalyn and Gerald Roskamp, Barb and Jerry Hagmeier, Allan and Yvonne Austin, Jean and John Dreckmeier and Judy and Rod Wartick; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one grandmother, Evalyn Wollbrink; grandparents, Harlen Austin and Fern Austin; and one cousin, Bradley Austin.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 26, in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy. Rev. Roger Selves officiated. Burial followed in the Tioga Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center at Blessing Hospital.
